Well, I’m back again at the magnificent Auberge du Soleil, and this time it’s for Anastasia and Kent’s wedding! I have to say, I photograph a lot of weddings here, and this place never gets old! Ever single wedding I do here is different! I took a new approach to their portraits this time, to mix things up a bit. Kent got ready at the Silverado Resort and Spa, so we swung over there first and spent some time with him and his family and friends for his getting ready and portraits. As you can see from his portraits he’s a pretty easy guy to photograph.
Then we moved on to Auberge du Soleil to meet up with Anastasia and the ladies. When I arrived I was thrilled to see the bride was almost ready, and left me a ton of time for doing portraits with her. We used it, and got some beautiful images of this beautiful Russian bride! Some of the photos required me to stand in the shower as well as on the rooftop, but it was all worth it!
The short wedding ceremony was beautiful on a perfect day! Sixty-nine degrees and partially cloudy. So beautiful!
After the ceremony we spent some time with the beautiful couple down at Auberge du Soleil’s infamous olive grove and the surrounding gardens.
The wedding reception was full of a few surprises as well. The couples first dance was a well choreographed tango style dance, and the father daughter dance was full of action as well. At the end of the dance Anastasia’s father picked her up, walked over to Kent, and gave away his daughter to him. Physically! It was a very beautiful moment!
Grandma caught the bouquet, and then the party went off the hook! It was a BLAST!
Here are a handful of my favorite moments from Anastasia and Kent’s special day! Enjoy!
