When I first met Yash and Anju they had a vision for doing a second engagement session in the middle of the night, somewhere remote, where we could capture the Milky Way with them in the photo. Well, after months of planning we finally did it! And it wasn’t as easy as we originally thought! A team of us set out for Pinnacles National Park one evening, after planning a “short hike” on a clear, moonless summer night. When we got there we realized all of the parking for the park was in a valley, and that we needed to get up on top of the mountains around us in order to get a clear shot of the Milky Way behind our couple. So, starting at midnight we set off on a 2.5 mile hike, up hill! We all huffed and puffed our way up the trail, all the while laughing at how crazy this was, but excited at the same time at the prospect of the unique images we planned to capture. After several hours of climbing, and about an hour of shooting, we captured some beautiful images, and headed for the parking lot, and made our way home at 4 am!
Here is one of my favorite images from my all night adventure with them.
