Brian's Style, Pricing & FAQs
Photography is deeply personal. The stories I tell are unique to you and your wedding. I take great care in capturing moments and providing a photographic experience that, combined with emotional and detailed imagery, takes you back to your wedding day in both your mind and heart for decades to come.
I approach wedding photography with physical, emotional, and mental dedication. I want the photographs to evoke genuine emotion—not only for me but, ultimately, for you. My priorities are emotive, storytelling images that are beautifully lit, creatively composed, and tailored to you and your wedding.
I want your images to feel warm and beautiful, romantic and natural, filled with emotion, and, most of all, timelessness.
A wedding is not a staged portrait session; it’s a living event with a story of its own.
Ninety percent of your wedding, I remain unobtrusive—quick yet quiet. I aim for a low profile, hoping to be mostly unnoticed and forgotten, allowing moments to unfold naturally.
I invest myself emotionally in you, your loved ones, and the story unfolding before me. By the end of your wedding day, I’m often more emotionally exhausted from the attention, anticipation, and effort I put into finding and waiting for the perfect moments than from carrying my heavy gear all day.
For the remaining ten percent of the day, I take a more involved approach to ensure you and your loved ones look your absolute best for portraits. Attention to detail is incredibly important in these moments.
When it comes to posing, I believe in "fixing, not forcing." I provide gentle direction, allowing you and your partner to move naturally, and then I adjust as needed. This approach results in more authentic, natural-looking photographs filled with real moments and genuine emotion.
Most importantly I want your wedding photographs to appear timeless! You will not see me doing a lot of trendy or cheesy poses, props or gimmicks you might see on Pinterest or Instagram, or doing crazy amounts of editing in Photoshop. Your images will be beautifully captured in beautiful light, edited simply to bring out the best in the photographs.
My goal is that 25 years from now you will be able to open your wedding album, and just see the memories and remember the moments in detail. It should appear timeless as though your wedding happened only days ago.

Absolutely! Most of my wedding collections include them for a reason. Aside from the obvious benefit of getting amazing photographs of you and your fiancé in more casual attire, these photos may be used as save-the-date cards or a sign-in book for your wedding day. This is a great opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better before your wedding day.
An engagement session is also a great time for us to spend time with you and your fiance', without the rushed time constraints of a wedding day, and to show you how to best present yourself in front of the camera, so that you both look your best in your wedding portraits.
None of the couples you see on my website are professional models. They are all everyday people just like you. And just like you might be, they were nervous the first time they stepped in front of a camera. We work with each of our couples on how to relax and enjoy the experience, and how to help us bring out the very best of your personalities and love for each other.
Plus, we have a heck of a lot of fun!!!

Absolutely! I will travel anywhere in the world to photograph your wedding!
I travel often back and forth from Colorado to the San Francisco Bay Area to photograph weddings. No additional travel charges are incurred for these two destinations.

Yes, of course! I am a huge fan of printing and showing your wedding photos! What a shame it would be to have all of your beautiful wedding photos sit on a hard drive for no one to see! I've heard the stories of couples going YEARS without looking at their wedding photos because they are sitting on a thumb drive in a drawer somewhere. Print them! Share them! Enjoy them!
We offer a large array of options for you to show and enjoy your wedding photos for years to come. From wall art, including acrylic and metal prints, to canvas, to hand crafted wedding albums, designed and perfected right here in my studio.
To see samples of these products please contact the studio for a free in person consultation.
I rarely photograph weddings alone. It's too big of a job for me to do by myself. There is too much gear to manage, and too many opportunities for moments to be missed.
All of my wedding collections include a second photographer. The reasons are many, but mostly it's because having another creative professional to work alongside makes me a better photographer. You've heard the saying, "Two heads are better than one." I use only the best photographers in the industry. We bounce ideas and thoughts off of each other and work as a team in creating and capturing these lasting memories for you. I am proud of the people that support me, and I often recommend them when I'm booked.
Depending on the size and scope of your wedding I may also bring a personal assistant. This person is usually someone I am mentoring into the business. He or she is there to help make me more efficient - helping me manage my gear, holding lights, running to the car to get equipment, etc.
Unfortunately, no. Not until right before your wedding day. As I mentioned above, I work with the best in the business. Often times that means they get booked at their own weddings, so booking my second photographer usually happens a couple weeks before your wedding. Once I have secured my second photographer, I am happy to share with you their portfolio.
The number of final photos I deliver can vary based on the hours we are booked, the number of guests at your wedding, and how many photographers are booked. Between two photographers and my assistant, I am typically delivering about 100 photos per hour of coverage on a wedding day. So for a 10 hour day, you can expect about 1,000 photos.
Yes, all of your delivered wedding and engagement photos are hand edited by me personally. Each photo is color corrected for appropriate skin tones, sharpened, and bit of saturation is added to bring out the beautiful colors of your wedding.
About 10% of your photos are turned to black and white.
Another 10% are given what I call my Signature Edit. These are done on the individual portraits and the photos of the two of you together - your "Romantics." With the Signature Edit more care is given to skin softening and removing any blemishes. Often times these photos are used for wall art or will be displayed in your wedding album.
Any photos being added to your wedding album will get a bit extra care to be sure you and everyone looks their best.
As a full time professional I believe in using the very best up-to-date equipment on the market. Although I believe in having a "small footprint" on your wedding, and don't bring a ton of gear. What I do bring is the very best for optimal image quality and performance. My preferred brand of choice has always been Nikon for it's beautiful colors and rich, warm tones. I shoot with two Nikon mirrorless bodies, all Nikkor glass, and Profoto lighting.
For all you gear heads out there here is a list of my equipment:
2x Nikon Z6III's
Nikkor 85mm f/1.2
