Destination Wedding at The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa

I was thrilled when Mckenzie and Shane contacted me last year regarding photography for their destination wedding at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa! The couple, along with many of their family and friends, traveled from Florida to help the couple celebrate their big day.

With the mild winter we had here in California this year you can imagine how it surprised us all that the sky opened up for most of the day, and dumped huge amounts of rain on us. There is no better place, however, to have a rainy wedding in the Napa Valley than The Meritage. There are countless of beautiful sheltered areas of the property to photograph! Even the back up plan in The Meritage’s quaint little chapel for the ceremony was beautiful!

We did see some sun on their wedding day though! Right at the perfect time, when I was taking the couple out to photograph them after their ceremony! It was beautiful! The clean crisp air, the wet vines, all combined with the the sun peaking through the clouds made for some amazing portraits of the couple!

The rest of the evening was held inside the property’s beautiful wine cave.
